Saturday morning SOUL

Kicked off yesterday morning with club lights in a convention center doing some yoga, and I have to admit, it wasn't a bad way to get going on a Saturday. It's been a while since I've gone to a yoga class, but the mix of music, lights, community, and flow were a great way to get back into the groove. If you are into yoga and love to try new fitness events around the city, check out Soul Pose to see if they're coming to a city near you. CJ and I are always on the hunt for these kinds of events, and it's hard to say whether it was me that dragged him to this one, or him that dragged me. I'm pretty sure he was really into the pink and purple lights and neon art, judging by the fact that every time I was in a pose facing him, he was writing something new on his mat and arms instead of actually doing the yoga...

We were led by a great instructor from CorePower through a 50-minute flow class, then got to go up and check out the goodies provided by the event sponsors, LaCroix and Bakery on Main.

I left the event yesterday feeling like I definitely need to make it a habit to get to more yoga classes, so I'll be making a point to take some classes around Austin in the coming weeks. Have a list of places that I still need to check out! I'll be wrapping up the weekend with a barre class, some more studying, and a bunch of planning for the week ahead.
